Ingredients

  • walleye fillets, minced (fresh or frozen)

    1 pound · 2 8-ounce fillets

  • onion, minced

    1/2 cup

  • celery, minced

    1/2 cup

  • low-fat mayonnaise

    2 tablespoons

  • crushed crackers, reduced sodium

    1 cup

  • egg (or 2 tablespoons dried egg mix + 1/4 cup water)

  • garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon

  • dill

    1/2 teaspoon

  • paprika

    1/2 teaspoon

  • salt

    1/2 teaspoon

  • cooking spray

  • Note: "Minced" means cut up into tiny pieces.

Instructions

    Wash hands with soap and water.

    Preheat oven to 375 °F. Place minced fish in a colander and press firmly to remove as much moisture as possible.

    In a medium bowl, mix fish, onion, celery, mayonnaise, crackers, egg, garlic powder, dill, paprika, and salt. Let rest for 10 minutes.

    Shape mixture into 8 patties. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray and place patties at least 1 inch apart on the pan.

    Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, flip, and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve warm.
