Ingrédients

  • 1 kg Oxtail
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 3 medium Carrots
  • 2 stalks Celery
  • 300 ml Red wine
  • 500 ml Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 4 sprigs Fresh thyme
  • 2 pieces Bay leaves

Instructions

    Season and brown oxtail on all sides.

    Sauté onions, carrots, celery. Add tomato paste.

    Deglaze with wine. Add broth, thyme, bay leaves, and oxtail.

    Braise covered at 150°C for 2.5-3 hours until tender.

    Reduce sauce if needed. Serve with mashed potatoes.
