Do water and exercise logs count toward my streak?
Last updated 27 juni 2026
No. Your Nutrola streak is a meal-logging streak, so only logging a meal on a given day keeps it alive. Logging water or an exercise/workout is tracked separately and does not advance or protect your streak. To keep a day counted, log at least one meal before midnight in your local time zone.
What actually counts toward the streak?
Your streak goes up when you log a meal. Behind the scenes, Nutrola only updates the streak when a meal is added, no matter how you logged it: Scan Food (camera), Scan Barcode, Describe Food, Search Food, or Saved Foods all count, because each one creates a meal entry.
A day is counted based on your device's local date, so log before midnight where you are to lock in that day. How to log a meal
Why don't water and exercise count?
Water and exercise are their own trackers in Nutrola, separate from meals. Logging water (Log Water) or a workout (Log Exercise) records that activity in its own tracker, but it does not touch the meal-logging streak. So a day where you only drank water or only logged a workout, with no meal logged, will not extend your streak.
This is by design: the streak is meant to reward consistent food logging, which is the core of calorie and macro tracking.

What happens if I miss a day?
If you go a day without logging a meal, Nutrola first tries to protect your streak with a streak freeze. You get one free freeze on your first log, and if you are holding a freeze it is spent automatically to cover the missed day. Your streak only resets to 0 when no freeze is available, and it restarts at 1 on your next meal log. Streak freezes (snowflakes): how they protect your streak
If your streak was lost recently (one or two days missed), you may be able to use a streak revive to restore it. Reviving a streak after you lose it
Is there a separate streak for the Learning Path classes?
Yes. The Learning Path has its own class streak, which is separate from your meal-logging streak. Completing classes affects the class streak, not your daily food-logging streak, and vice versa. Why do I have two different streaks in Nutrola?
Do gems work the same way?
You earn gems for logging and for keeping your streak going, and milestones grant bonus gems. Because the streak itself only advances from meals, the streak-based gem rewards follow the same rule.
