Do water reminders stop once I hit my goal?
Last updated 27 juni 2026
Yes. Nutrola water reminders stop nagging you the moment you reach your daily water goal. Every time you log water, Nutrola recalculates the day, and once your total hits your goal it cancels any remaining reminders for that day. There are at most three gentle nudges, and they never pile on when you have already finished.
When do water reminders fire?
Nutrola schedules up to three water nudges across the day, all at fixed local times:
- A morning nudge at 10:00 ("Time to hydrate").
- An afternoon nudge at 15:00 ("Hydration check").
- An evening nudge at 19:30 ("Almost there").
These are gentle reminders to reach your water goal, not a constant drip of alerts.
What happens after I reach my goal?
As soon as your logged water for the day reaches your goal, Nutrola stops scheduling any further water reminders for that day. If you hit your goal in the morning, you will not get the afternoon or evening nudge. Reminders pick back up the next day with a fresh goal.
Nutrola rechecks this every time you log water and every time you open the app, so progress you make on one device is reflected right away.
Will the evening nudge bug me if I am far behind?
No. The 19:30 evening nudge ("Almost there", "So close, one more glass wraps it up") only fires when you are at least 70% of the way to your goal. If you are further behind than that, Nutrola stays quiet in the evening rather than nag you. The morning and afternoon nudges are not gated this way, but all three stop entirely once the goal is met.
Turning water reminders on or off
Water reminders are on by default, but if you have turned meal reminders off they stay quiet until you switch them on yourself. To control them, open Profile/Settings → Notifications and use the Water reminders toggle ("A few gentle nudges to reach your water goal"). The master All notifications switch also has to be on for any reminder to send. See What reminders does Nutrola send and when? for the full list of nudges, and I tapped 'Don't Allow' on notifications - how do I fix it? if you are not receiving any.
