How do I turn off just fasting (or just water) reminders?

Last updated 27 iunie 2026

In Nutrola, each reminder type has its own switch, so you can turn off Fasting reminders or Water reminders without affecting Meal reminders. Open the app, go to Profile/Settings, tap Notifications, and under "Notification types" flip off just the category you want to silence. Keep the master "All notifications" switch on so your other reminders keep running.

Where are the per-category switches?

Open Nutrola and tap the Profile/Settings tab, then tap Notifications. This opens the Manage notifications screen, which has:

  • A master All notifications switch ("Turn every reminder on or off") at the top.
  • A Notification types section below it with three independent switches:
    • Meal reminders ("An evening nudge if you haven't logged that day")
    • Fasting reminders ("Alerts around your eating window")
    • Water reminders ("A few gentle nudges to reach your water goal")

Each switch controls only its own category, so turning one off leaves the other two running.

Turn off only fasting reminders

  1. Open Nutrola and go to Profile/Settings → Notifications.
  2. Make sure All notifications (the master switch at the top) stays on.
  3. Under Notification types, turn the Fasting reminders switch off.

Your Meal reminders and Water reminders keep working. You can turn fasting reminders back on the same way anytime.

Note: fasting reminders are tied to an active fasting plan. If you do not have a fasting plan running, this row shows "Turns on once you start a fasting plan" and no fasting alerts are sent until you start one. Setting up intermittent fasting

Turn off only water reminders

  1. Open Nutrola and go to Profile/Settings → Notifications.
  2. Keep the master All notifications switch on.
  3. Under Notification types, turn the Water reminders switch off.

Your Meal reminders and Fasting reminders are unaffected. If your water reminders seem to stop on their own during the day, that can be expected once you reach your water goal. Do water reminders stop once I hit my goal?

Why keep "All notifications" on?

The master All notifications switch is a gate over every category. If you turn it off, it silences all reminders at once and dims the category switches below. To silence just one type, leave the master switch on and toggle only that category. When you turn the master switch back on, each category returns to whatever you had it set to, so a category you left off stays off.

What if no reminders arrive at all?

If notifications are turned off for Nutrola at the device level, none of these switches can deliver anything. The screen shows a banner when your device permission is off, with a quick way to fix it. I tapped 'Don't Allow' on notifications - how do I fix it?
