Why didn't I get a meal reminder today?

Nutrola's meal reminder is an evening nudge (around 8 PM local time) that only fires on days you have not logged a meal. As soon as you log anything that day, Nutrola cancels that day's reminder, so the most common reason you didn't get one is that you already logged. It also needs notification permission and both reminder toggles on.

Why didn't the reminder show up?

The meal reminder is designed to help protect your logging streak, so Nutrola only sends it when you actually need the nudge. There are a few reasons it may not appear:

• You already logged a meal that day. This is the most common reason. The moment you log a meal, Nutrola cancels that day's reminder and schedules the next one for tomorrow.
• The time hasn't arrived yet. The reminder is scheduled for around 8 PM in your device's local time. Earlier in the day it simply hasn't fired.
• Notifications are turned off in Nutrola. Both the master switch and the meal reminder toggle need to be on (see below).
• System notification permission is off. If you never granted Nutrola permission to send notifications, no reminders can be delivered I tapped 'Don't Allow' on notifications - how do I fix it?.

How do I make sure meal reminders are on?

In the app, open Profile/Settings → Notifications, then check:

1. All notifications is turned on (this is the master switch labeled "Turn every reminder on or off"). If it's off, every reminder is silenced.
2. Meal reminders is turned on. Its subtitle reads "An evening nudge if you haven't logged that day."

If both are on and you still see nothing, confirm that your device's system notification permission for Nutrola is granted I tapped 'Don't Allow' on notifications - how do I fix it?.

So getting no reminder is usually a good sign?

Yes. Because the reminder only exists to catch days you forgot to log, not seeing it after you've already logged means everything is working as intended.
