Change your calorie goal and macro targets
Last updated 27 червня 2026 р.
In Nutrola, you can change your daily calorie goal and your protein, carbs, and fat targets at any time. Open the Profile/Settings tab, tap Edit Nutrition Goals under the Account section, then tap any value (or its pencil icon) and type a new number. Your changes save automatically and your Home screen rings update right away.
How do I edit my calorie and macro goals?
- Open the Profile/Settings tab.
- Under the Account section, tap Edit Nutrition Goals.
- You'll see four cards: Calorie goal, Protein goal, Carbohydrates goal, and Fat goal. Tap the number on any card, or tap its pencil icon, to start editing.
- Type your new value using the number pad.
- Tap Save in the toolbar above the keyboard to save immediately, or just tap away. Either way the change is kept.
There is no separate "Save Changes" button on this screen. As you edit, Nutrola updates your goals across the app instantly, and it also saves them to your account automatically about a second after you stop typing. If you tapped a field by mistake, use Cancel in the keyboard toolbar to undo that field's change.
Your goals are stored with your account, so they follow you when you sign in on another device. If a save doesn't go through (for example, you were offline), the app handles it quietly, so reopen the screen later to confirm your numbers stuck. Restore your data on a new device
My Home screen didn't update, what do I do?
The Home rings read from your saved goals and should change the moment you edit a value. If they look out of date, leave and reopen the Home tab. Note that editing your goal numbers here is separate from changing your goal weight or activity details, which can recalculate your suggested targets. Where do these starting numbers come from?
When you set up Nutrola, your starting calorie and macro targets are calculated from your profile (things like your details, activity level, and goal). They are estimates to get you started, and you can adjust them here whenever your needs change. How does Nutrola calculate my starting calorie and macro goals?
There are sensible limits on how high or low a value you can enter. Is there a minimum or maximum I can set for calories or macros? If you track in different units, you can switch between metric and imperial elsewhere in Settings. How do I switch between metric and imperial units?
How do exercise calories affect my goal?
In the Preferences section of Settings there's an Add exercise calories toggle ("Let workouts raise your daily goal"). When it's off, your daily calorie goal stays fixed at the value you set, no matter how much you work out. When it's on, logged exercise is added to the calories available for that day. On iOS, if Apple Health is connected, active energy from Apple Health is included too. Does logging a workout increase my calorie budget? Logging exercise and calories burned
This toggle changes how your day's budget is calculated; it does not change the base calorie goal you set under Edit Nutrition Goals.
