What to do if the app shows 'Oops! Something went wrong'

Last updated 27 червня 2026 р.

When Nutrola catches an unexpected error, it shows a screen titled "Oops! Something went wrong" with a "Try Again" button. Tapping Try Again clears only Nutrola's local app cache and reloads the app; it does not touch your meals, goals, or account, which are stored safely on Nutrola's servers. The crash is logged automatically for our team.

What the "Try Again" button actually does

The error screen appears when Nutrola runs into an unexpected problem and stops the current screen from loading. Tapping "Try Again" does two things:

  • It clears a small amount of Nutrola's local cache on your device (onboarding, paywall, and user-session data saved on the phone).
  • It reloads the app so it can start fresh instead of getting stuck on the error screen.

It does not delete anything stored on Nutrola's servers. Your logged meals, weight history, goals, streak, and account details live on your account, not in that local cache.

Is my data safe?

Yes. The "Try Again" reset only clears local on-device cache, so your account and tracking data stay on the server. After the app reloads, your information loads back from your account. If you are ever signed out by the reset, just sign in again with the same method you used before and your data comes back Restore your data on a new device.

Because clearing the local cache can reset the on-device session, you might be asked to sign in or briefly walk through onboarding again after tapping Try Again. That is expected and does not erase your account Signed in with Apple/Google but asked to set up again.

Was the crash reported?

Yes, automatically. When the error screen appears, Nutrola saves the crash details on your device and sends a crash report to our team's error-tracking, so we get visibility into it without any extra step from you. The error screen even notes that the issue "has been logged for debugging."

If "Try Again" doesn't fix it

If the app keeps returning to the error screen (a crash loop), try these steps in order:

  1. Tap "Try Again" once more and give the app a few seconds to fully reload.
  2. Fully close the app (swipe it away from the app switcher) and reopen it.
  3. iOS: make sure your iPhone's software and the App Store version of Nutrola are up to date. Android: check for a Nutrola update in Google Play. Installing the latest version often clears a crash caused by an older build.
  4. As a last resort, reinstall the app. Reinstalling does not cancel your subscription, and your meals, goals, and account restore automatically when you sign back in Restore your data on a new device.
