Reviving a streak after you lose it
Last updated 2026年6月27日
When your Nutrola streak breaks, the next time you open the app you see a screen titled "Oh no, your streak broke!" If only 1 or 2 days were missed, it shows a Revive option that spends gems to restore your full streak. Once more than 2 days pass, the Revive option no longer appears and you start over.
Can I get my streak back after it breaks?
Sometimes. Nutrola gives you a short window to recover a broken streak:
- Within 1 to 2 missed days: the "Oh no, your streak broke!" screen shows a Revive button. Tapping it spends gems to bring your streak back to the number it was, as if the missed days were covered.
- More than 2 missed days: the revive window has closed. The screen only offers Start over, and your next logged meal begins a fresh streak.
A revive is only offered if you actually had a streak going (a count above zero) before the break.
How do I revive my streak?
- Open Nutrola after the streak broke. The "Oh no, your streak broke!" screen appears on its own (it shows once per break).
- If you are eligible, you will see the message "Don't lose your progress, bring your streak back!" with a Revive button that shows a gem icon and the cost (125 gems).
- Tap Revive. Nutrola spends the gems and restores your streak. You then see "Streak restored!" with a Continue button.
If you would rather not revive, tap Start over to dismiss the screen and begin a new streak with your next meal.
What does a revive cost?
A streak revive costs 125 gems. Gems are Nutrola's in-app reward currency that you earn by logging meals and keeping your streak going, so a revive draws down the gems you have already collected. If your balance is below 125, the screen shows "Not enough gems, revive costs 125." and the streak is not restored. In that case you can keep logging to earn more gems for next time, but note that the revive window for this particular break may close before you reach 125. Gems: what they are and how to earn them
Why don't I see a Revive button?
The Revive option is hidden in these cases:
- More than 2 days were missed. The recovery window only covers a 1 to 2 day gap. After that, only Start over is shown.
- You had no active streak before the break (your count was already zero).
- You don't have 125 gems. The button may still appear, but tapping it shows the "Not enough gems" message instead of restoring the streak.
Do streak freezes change this?
Yes, and they usually come first. If you are holding a streak freeze, Nutrola spends it automatically to cover a missed day, so the streak never breaks and you see a "streak saved" screen instead of the streak-broke screen. You only land on the revive flow when no freeze was available to protect those days. A revive is the paid, after-the-fact recovery, while a freeze prevents the break before it happens. After I revive, what happens?
Your streak is restored to the count it had before the break, and the missed days are treated as covered through yesterday, so logging a meal today continues the streak normally. The "Streak restored!" message confirms the day count is back. How to log a meal Do water and exercise logs count toward my streak?
