Create your own food (custom food) and reuse it

Yes. If a food isn't in Nutrola's database and has no barcode, you can add it yourself. In the Search Food screen, open the My foods tab, tap Create Your Food, enter a name plus the calories, protein, carbs, and fat, then tap Save Food. It's saved to your account so you can log it again in one tap.
How do I create a custom food?
- Tap the center + in the tab bar, then tap Search Food.
- Tap the My foods tab at the top.
- Tap Create Your Food (the button at the top of the list, or the large button on the empty screen).
- Fill in Food Name (for example, "Homemade Pasta").
- Under Nutrition Information, enter Calories (kcal), Protein (g), Carbs (g), and Fat (g).
- Tap Save Food.
All five fields are required. If any are blank, you'll see a Missing Information message asking you to fill in all fields before saving.
Where does my custom food go after I save it?
Your food is saved to your account and appears in the My foods tab of the Search Food screen. It also shows up in your Saved foods list alongside other foods you've kept. From either tab, tap the + next to the food to add it to your day's log, so you don't have to re-enter the numbers each time. Log from the food database, your foods, and saved foods
Because it's saved to your account, your custom food is available when you log a meal again later. How to log a meal
Can I change the calories or macros on a custom food?
The values you type when creating the food are stored exactly as entered, so set them carefully. To remove a custom food you no longer want, swipe its row left in the My foods tab to delete it.
If you instead want to fix the calories or macros on a meal you've already logged from an AI photo or voice scan, that's done on the meal itself, not here. Edit a meal's calories, protein, carbs, or fat by hand The calorie or macro estimate looks wrong
When should I use a custom food instead of a barcode or photo?
Use a custom food when the item isn't found by search and has no working barcode, or when you have your own exact numbers (for example, from a packaged label or your own recipe). Barcode lookups rely on a large product database, so some products simply aren't in it yet, which is expected. Barcode won't scan
