Rename a logged meal

Yes. In Nutrola, the name your AI analysis gave a meal is editable. Open the meal, tap its name at the top of the result screen, type a new name on the Change Name screen, then tap Update. The new name saves to that entry and syncs to your Nutrola account.

How do I change the name of a meal?

  1. Open the meal you want to rename by tapping it on your home screen so the result screen appears.
  2. Tap the meal name, the large title shown at the top of the screen.
  3. On the Change Name screen, edit the text in the Meal Name field (it opens with the keyboard ready and the current name filled in).
  4. Tap Update to save. The button stays inactive until the name has some text, so you cannot save a blank name.

The new name replaces the old one on that entry. If you change your mind, tap the back arrow instead of Update to leave the name as it was.

Which meals can I rename this way?

Tapping the title to rename works for meals that Nutrola analyzed with AI, such as photo scans, photos imported from your gallery, and meals you described by voice or text. Barcode products from a large product database open on a different screen and do not use this rename flow, so their name comes from the product database. How to log a meal

Will the new name stay saved?

For a meal you are viewing from your diary, the new name updates right away on your device and is written to your Nutrola account in the background, so it appears when your data loads on your other devices. Saved Foods that used the old name are updated to the new name too. If a meal does not appear renamed on another device, give it a moment and reopen the app. My data isn't syncing

Renaming only changes the label, not the nutrition. To fix calories, macros, or ingredients, use the editing tools on the same screen. To remove a meal entirely instead of renaming it, see Edit or delete a logged meal.
