"Account not found" when signing in with your email code
Last updated 27 Ιουνίου 2026
Nutrola email sign-in only logs you into an account that already exists, so it will not create a new one for you. If you see "Account Not Found," you most likely never finished signing up with that email, or you originally joined using Sign In with Apple or Google. Use your original sign-in method, or complete sign-up first.
Why do I see "Account Not Found"?
When you enter your email on the sign-in screen, Nutrola asks the server to send a 6-digit code only if an account already exists for that address. It does not create an account from the sign-in screen. If no account matches, you get an alert titled "Account Not Found" that reads: "No account exists with this email address. Please sign up first to create an account."
This almost always comes down to one of these:
- You never completed sign-up with this email. A new account is created during onboarding, not on the sign-in screen. If you stopped partway through signing up, there may be no account yet.
- You originally joined with Apple or Google, not email. Sign In with Apple and Sign In with Google each tie your account to that provider. If you used one of those, the email box on the sign-in screen will not find your account.
- A typo or a different address. Email addresses must match exactly. A small typo, or using a different email than the one you signed up with, will not match an existing account.
What should I do?
- Try the method you signed up with first. On the sign-in screen, if you remember using Sign In with Apple or Sign In with Google, tap that button instead of entering your email. For Apple, make sure your device is signed in with the same Apple ID you used before Trouble signing in.
- Double-check the email. If you are sure you used email sign-in, re-enter the exact address (watch for typos and similar addresses), then request the code again.
- If you are new, sign up first. Email sign-in cannot create an account. If you have never made a Nutrola account, go through onboarding to create one Getting started with Nutrola.

I know I have an account but email still won't work
If you are certain you have an account but the email box reports "Account Not Found," you most likely created it with a different method. Apple and Google sign-ups do not always use the email you expect, so the email path will not find them. Tap Sign In with Apple or Sign In with Google instead.
Once you sign in with the correct method, your meals, goals, streaks, and progress sync back from the cloud automatically Restore your data on a new device. Signing in with a different method than your original one starts a fresh, empty account rather than loading your data.
